Pearlescent weapons simply have more mods & higher damage numbers. They just string you along with small increased stash size, eridium storage & char level. The previous DLCs all had new areas and new missions. That's the same content, but at a harder difficulty. UVHM is not really much harder than TVHM, its about the same jump in difficulty as going from Normal to TVHM. Keep that in mind if your attached to your already leveled character.
